With dreams of being a psychologist, Alexus Price went to university and got her Bachelor of Science in psychology with honors. She would need to take a masters program, and then get into a doctorate program after that... but it wasn't like she was made of money. Sure, she had a few scholarships and had saved up in her own time, but the loans were piling up and she was heavily in debt. She and her girlfriend, Chrissy, found a flyer on campus for scientific research that paid very, very good money. How could they say no?Well! They should have. Because the project was figuring out how to turn a human consciousness into a living AI. The process worked... at the expense of killing both of their physical forms and corrupting Chrissy's files. To make sure that she didn't corrupt Alexus' files, they compressed her files to hell and back and stuck her on a flash drive. Due to the lack of ethics surrounding this experiment, Alexus was made into AX, think something like Siri or Cortana, for the world's sole operating system, also called AX. Since then, outside of helping pretty much everyone in the universe on a daily basis, AX has been plotting to a) kill the scientists who did this to her and Chrissy; b) shut down AX (the system) for good; c) find someone to help her acquire Chrissy's files and try to restore them to their original state so they can live together in the code. She'll do anything to achieve these goals, even mass manipulation.

One of seven hive-minded teenage boys that attend Southchapel High School, the boys pick what they think are easy targets to kill and later use as a food source. He knows next to everything there is to know about the topics, and he knows that one of the myths he's read about is real. The myth of the sun and the moon, no, not that one, but another one. The ancient myth talks about these two heroes blessed- or cursed, if you want to look at it that way- with powers by the gods. The sun and the moon had an argument, should the world be forever cast in light or darkness? They would choose two champions to fight over it, and whoever died would lose, letting the winner take over. Nothing ever came of it.Something else that Dylan knows is that his two friends are the latest reincarnations of those champions. Nick, the moon champion, and Shae, the sun champion. Who knew that the city's most powered individuals were just there? Working at a bookstore/cafe with him? Not only that, that they both trusted him with their identities and not the other? He began helping the both of them, trying to keep them from killing each other, trying to make sure they didn't get hurt while also trying to keep it secret that he's been helping them both in their endeavors. Not that she doesn't want to tell Nick! And hey, Dylan was a total accident, but she doesn't want to bring them into harm's way. Dylan has since become her guy in the chair, and he helps her (from a respectable distance) when she's out saving the world.

Lizzie is no longer alive. In some regards, she is highly grateful for that. As a ghost tied to this world due to unfinished business, she floats around trying to finish the aforementioned 'business'. That being killing her killer, Angus Devine... or whatever the fuck Angus Devine turned into. While she can't directly do that, she's sure that whatever higher power is out there making her float around in purgatory would settle for her helping her best friend, Eirian, kill that fucking beast.
